Caption Check is a Chrome extension that helps annotators check and improve captions on Encord.
Caption Check accesses caption text and relevant elements of Encord pages to provide spelling, formatting, wording, and annotation-quality checks.
All caption checking is performed locally in the user’s browser using rules and vocabulary included in the extension.
Caption text is not sent to the developer, external servers, or third-party services.
If a user chooses to add a word to their personal vocabulary, that word is stored locally in the browser using browser storage. This information is not transmitted to the developer or third parties.
Caption Check does not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties.
Caption Check does not use external spelling or grammar APIs, analytics services, or remote code to perform its caption-checking functionality.
Caption text is processed within the browser. Users can remove the extension to stop its access to Encord pages. Locally stored extension data can be removed by clearing the extension’s stored data or uninstalling it.
